Two cars, Armoured Rolls-Royce Type A, which were operated by the Australian and British Army in desert areas in the Middle East. A number of such armoured cars were acquired by the British Air Ministry on a contract entirely separate from the War Office contract and used to equip Royal Air Force Armoured Car Companies for service in Iraq and Egypt.
