Description
Australian troops leaving their trench for an attack. This was one of a number of images used to create a composite photograph by Official Australian War Photographer Frank Hurley, this image being used in the bottom right hand side of the composite. The composite was originally titled "A hop over", but became famous as "Over the top". It was exhibited in London between May and September 1918. For examples of the composite image see E05988A, E05988B and P01438.001.
