Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey. 8 June 1915. Sergeant Harry Freame, 1st Battalion AIF, looking through a loophole. Near the Tambour sap in Wire Gully, we cut two loopholes in the face of the hill, looking at the Turks. A sniper used to crawl down a tunnel from our trenches and fire through these.
