A Lightweight Air Warning (LW/AW) radar unit assembled for operation. Numbers of these units were deployed at various forward locations within Australia and operational areas in the South West Pacific Theatre for detection and identification of enemy and friendly aircraft. They were often camouflaged to blend in with local features as much as possible for their own security.
