Portrait of 2110 Private (Pte) Henry Herbert Bartrop, 3rd Battalion. A clerk from Sydney, NSW, prior to enlistment on 18 May 1915, he embarked on HMAT Karoola on 16 June 1915 for the Gallipoli Peninsula. Pte Bartrop arrived in Gallipoli on 4 August 1915 and was reported killed in action between 7 and 12 August 1915; he was aged 28 years.
