Studio portrait of 372 Trooper (Tpr) William Blake, 10th Light Horse Regiment, of Collingwood, Vic. A draper prior to enlistment, Tpr Blake embarked from Fremantle on HMAT Surada on 17th February 1915. He was killed in action at Gallipoli on 7th August 1915 and is buried in the Shrapnel Valley Cemetery. His brother 3043 Private (Pte) George Blake was killed in action in France on 9th October 1917.
