Studio portrait of 1489 Private Godfrey George Bolger, 8th Light Horse Regiment from Frankston, Victoria. The portrait is a copy of the right hand side of a composite portrait of two brothers. An 18 year old carrier prior to enlisting on 6 July 1915, he embarked for overseas with the 12th Reinforcements from Melbourne on 21 October 1915 aboard SS Hawkes Bay. After serving with the 8th Light Horse in the Middle East, he returned to Australia on 17 April 1919.
