Studio portrait of 3011 Sergeant (Sgt) Stephen Joseph Booth, 1st Battalion, of Parramatta, NSW. A bookbinder prior to enlistment, Sgt Booth embarked with the rank of Private (Pte) with the 10th Reinforcements from Sydney on HMAT Warilda on 8th October 1915.On 7th November 1916 he died of wounds received in action in France and was buried in the Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt-L'Abbe, France..
