Studio portrait of 798 Private (Pte) Geoffrey Bourke, 21st Battalion, of Wedderburn, Vic. A farm labourer prior to enlistment, Pte Bourke embarked from Melbourne on HMAT Ulysses on 10th May 1915. He was killed in action in France on 30th July 1916, aged 22, and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.
