Studio portrait of 4749 Private Arthur Patrick Bourchier, 5th Battalion, of Warrenheip, Vic. A school teacher prior to enlistment, Pte Bourchier embarked with the 15th Reinforcements from Melbourne on HMAT Wiltshire on 7th March 1916. He later transferred to the 58th Battalion and was killed in action in France on 22nd November 1916, aged 20, and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.
