Portrait of 1137 Private (Pte) Edward Carruthers Bingham Bryden, 4th Battalion of Goulburn, NSW. A station hand prior to enlistment, Pte Bryden embarked from Sydney on HMAT Euripides on 20th October 1914. He was killed in action at Gallipoli on 26th April 1915, aged 20, and is commemorated on the Lone Pine Memorial.
