Studio portrait of 4623 Acting Sergeant (A/Sgt) William Wallace Campbell, 14th Reinforcements, 12th Battalion, of Wesley Vale, Tas. A/Sgt Campbell enlisted on 10 August 1915 and embarked aboard HMAT Warilda in Melbourne on 8 February 1916. He was serving as a lance corporal when he was killed in action at Mouquet Farm, France, on 19 - 22 August 1916.
