Pre war studio portrait of 119 Sergeant (Sgt) William Robert Dugay, 3rd Battalion. A bootmaker of Douglas Park, NSW prior to enlistment, Sgt Dugay embarked as a Private (Pte) with A Company from Sydney on HMAT Euripides on 20 October 1914. After promotion to Sergeant, on 26 August 1915 he died of wounds received in action at Gallipoli and was buried in the Cairo War Memorial Cemetery.
