Studio portrait of Lieutenant (Lt) Charles Edward Dunsdon, 4th Field Company Engineers. A draughtsman from Toowoomba Qld prior to enlistment Lt Dunsdon embarked as a Lance Corporal (L Cpl) with 3rd Field Company Engineers from Melbourne on HMAT Geelong on 22 September 1914. After progressing through the ranks he was promoted to Lieutenant and posted to 4th Field Company. On 9th August 1916 he was killed in action and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.
