Studio portrait of 1327 Saddler Edward Dyer, 2nd Field Artillery Brigade. A saddler from North Richmond, Vic prior to enlistment, Saddler Dyer embarked with the Brigade Ammunition Column from Melbourne on HMAT Shropshire on 20 October 1914. On 18 May 1915, aged 21, he died of wounds received in action at Gallipoli and was buried in the Alexandria (Chatby) Military and War Memorial Cemetery.
