Studio portrait of 2375 Private (Pte) John Everett, 28th Battalion. A labourer from Geraldton, WA prior to enlistment, Pte Everett embarked with the 5th Reinforcements from Fremantle on HMAT Themistocles on 13 October 1915. On 3 August 1916 he was killed in action at Pozieres, France aged 18, and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.
