Studio portrait of 85 Private (Pte) Arthur Rudolph Fleming, 1st Field Ambulance. A clerk from Albury, NSW prior to enlistment, Pte Fleming embarked with A Section from Sydney on HMAT Euripides on 20 October 1914. On 5 November 1916, shortly after being promoted to Lance Corporal , he died of wounds received in action in France. His grave site was not registered and he is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.
