Studio portrait of 3316 Private (Pte) Arthur Roy Ford, 20th Battalion. A school teacher from Parkes, NSW prior to enlistment, Pte Ford embarked with the 7th Reinforcements from Sydney on HMAT Suevic on 20 December 1915. On 5 May 1916 he was killed in action near Armentieres, France, aged 22, and was buried in the Brewery Orchard Cemetery, Bois-Grenier, France.
