Studio portrait of 879 Private (Pte) Arthur William Frohlich, 24th Battalion. A labourer from Stuart Mill, Vic prior to enlistment, Pte Frohlich embarked with D Company from Melbourne on HMAT Euripides on 10 May 1915. On 25 August 1916 he was killed in action at Pozieres, aged 23 and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.
