Studio portrait of 887 Lance Sergeant Aaron Goldstone, 37th Battalion from Collingwood, Victoria. A 23 year old grocer prior to enlisting on 10 March 1916, he embarked for overseas from Melbourne on 3 June 1916 aboard HMAT Persic. He was killed in action near Messines, Belgium on 8 June 1917 and has no known grave.
