Portrait of 1110 Trooper Frederick Lampard Hunt, 8th Light Horse Regiment (LHR) from Quantong via Horsham, Victoria. A 23 year old contractor prior to enlisting on 29 June 1915, he embarked for overseas with the 8th Reinforcements from Melbourne aboard HMAT Kyarra (A55) on 20 August 1915. After joining the 8th LHR in Egypt on 26 December 1915, he served in the Middle East until he was killed in action in Palestine on 19 April 1917. Trooper Hunt is commemorated on the Jerusalem Memorial, Jerusalem War Cemetery, Israel with others who have no known grave.
