Portrait of 765 Corporal Horace Garfield Kurrle of Hawksburn, Vic. He served with 38 Battalion, and was killed by a German mortar on 2 January 1917 at his post in a trench near Houplines in Flanders. He was buried in the Cite Bonjean Military Cemetery, Armentieres, France.
