Studio portrait of 3273 Corporal Neville Magner, 30th Battalion from Paddington, NSW. A 24 year old plumber prior to enlisting on 17 January 1916, he embarked for overseas with the 7th Reinforcements from Sydney on 2 May 1916 aboard HMAT Hororata. He was killed in action at Passchendaele, Belgium on 23 October 1917 and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium with others who have no known grave.
