Studio portrait of 4256 Corporal Percy David Mansfield, 7th Battalion from Alexandra, Victoria. A 19 year old farmer prior to enlisting in the AIF on 19 July 1915, He embarked for overseas with the 13th Reinforcements from Melbourne on 29 December 1915 aboard HMAT Demosthenes. He was killed in action on 19 August 1916 near Pozieres, France and is buried in the Serre Road Cemetery No 2, near Albert in The Somme, France.
