Studoin portrait of 2760 Acting Sergeant (Sgt) Ernest Russell Mclure, 21st Battalion who was killed in action in 4 September 1917. Acting Sgt Mclure, a grocer from Buninyong Vic enlisted on 8 July1915 and embarked from Melbourne as a Lance Corporal (L/Cpl), on board RMS Moldavia on 5 October 1915. L/Cpl Mclure has no known grave and is commemorated at the The Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial in Belgium. He was 22.
