Studio portrait of Lieutenant Arthur Ernest Percival Mott, 1 Squadron AFC, who drowned at sea on 24 December 1917 aged 22. His two brothers also served in the First World War, Lieutenant Colonel John Eldred Mott, MC and bar, who was wounded and captured at Bullecourt, he then escaped and returned to duty, finishing the war commanding the 48th Battalion, Lieutenant Herbert William Mott also of the 48th Battalion, and 513 Company Quartermaster Sergeant Albert Allen Mott of the 58th Battalion.
