Studio portrait of Lieutenant (Lt) Andrew Lambert Reid, 51st Battalion. An engineer from Malvern, Vic prior to enlistment, Lt Reid embarked with the rank of Second Lieutenant with D Company, 38th Battalion from Melbourne on HMAT Runic on 20 June 1916. After transferring to the 51st Battalion, he was promoted to Lieutenant. Lt Reid was killed in action on 9 June 1917. He is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial
