Studio portrait of 2931 Private Benjamin Robinson, 47th Battalion from Red Hill, Queensland. A 27 year old motor mechanic prior to enlisting on 7 August 1916, he embarked for overseas with the 7th Reinforcements from Brisbane, Queensland on 27 October 1916 aboard HMAT Marathon. He was killed in action near Westhoek Ridge, Belgium and is commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium with others who have no known grave.
