Studio portrait of 6453 Corporal Victor Edwin Watts, 2nd Signal Company Headquarters from Centennial Park, NSW. A 19 year old warehouseman prior to enlisting on 8 September 1915, he embarked for overseas as a Bombardier with the 14th Battery, 5th Field Artillery Brigade from Sydney on 18 November 1915 aboard HMAT Persic. He was killed in action at Passchendaele, Belgium on 29 September 1917 and is buried in the Menin Road South Military Cemetery, Ypres, Belgium.
