Description
Two suspected Japanese war criminals returning to their camp under provost guard after having been interrogated by an Australian intelligence officer at Headquarters 11 Division. Identified, far right, is NX101341 Sergeant (Sgt) Kevin John Murphy, 11 Division Provost Company. Sgt Murphy enlisted for service in the 2nd Australian Imperial Force (AIF) on 23 July 1942, having previously served in the Citizen Military Forces (CMF). He served in New Guinea and New Britain prior to being discharged on 27 March 1946.
