NX102477 Lieutenant Colonel K A McGarrity, Commanding Officer, 18th Field Ambulance (1) inspecting members of B Company, accompanied by the officer in charge, TX6468 Captain P Zerman (2) and the Duty Officer, NX102755 Lieutenant J C Selwood (3). Identified personnel are NX123063 Corporal R S Goldstein (4); NX121641 Private (Pte) L E Smith (5); QX59604 Pte W F James (6); V504991 Pte R C Geyer (7); NX137614 Pte J W Elliott (8). Personnel of the 18th Field Ambulance were mostly enlisted in October 1941 and came from the NSW districts of Canberra, Yass, Goulburn and the Southern Highlands, except for a few recent reinforcements.
