Description

Silhouette drawings of the Curtiss P40 Kittyhawk fighter aircraft used for aircraft recognition purposes. The Kittyhawk remained in front line service on every front except Great Britain during the Second World War. Throughout the war, the P40 Kittyhawk in most major versions was one of the most important fighters of the Flying Tigers (American Volunteer Group) in China and of the Chinese Air Force itself, and several versions were standard types with Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the Free French. A large number of P40 aircraft also went to the Soviet Union.
