Description

James Stones served in Vietnam where he completed two tours. Stones served in the 1st Armoured Personnel Carrier Squadron (1 APC SQN) in 1966-67. In 1967 (1 APC SQN) became known as A Squadron 3rd Cavalry Regiment (A SQN 3 CAV REGT). Stones then began his second tour in 1969 in which time he served with two differant units, these being B Squadron 3rd Cavalry Regiment (B SQN 3 CAV REGT) and DET 1 FWD DEL TP. Dr Jane Ross interviews Stones about his experience for her project "An oral history of Australians in Vietnam".
