Description
Collection relating to NGX38 Captain (Capt) Richard Henry Clare Cardew who served with both 2/8 Battalion and Z Special Unit during the Second World War. Comprises a 15 foolscap page handwritten document titled 'War Diary of 2/8 Bn for Crete Campaign'. The document was written by Capt Cardew and spans the period 27 April to 31 May 1941. Written on 9 sheets of paper, some double sided, the diary is missing 2 pages. The date it was written is not known.
