Description
Lettter related to the Second World war service of VX93500 Private Patrick O'Neill. His letter of 1982 outlines action by 10 Platoon B Coy, 2/6 Bn during the Wau/Salamaua campaign. He describes an offensive to relieve 2/3 Independent Coy who were surrounded by the Japanese, and the courage of Lance Sergeant Jack Quinn who with a mortar wound to his back, crawled up a hill seeking medical assistance.
