Rogers, James (Sergeant, VC, 1st Victorian Contingent)
Description
Collection relating to the Service of Sergeant James Rogers VC of the 1st Victorian Contingent. The collection includes attestation papers, discharge certificates, citations and a commissioning warrant regarding Rogers' VC and his South African service as well as a letter from Baden-Powell. The collection also includes two oversized framed items. The first consists of a photograph of an unveiling of a memorial plaque and the second contains a portrait and citation and appears to have once held the Victoria Cross medal.
