Description

Copy of diary written by Lieutenant (Lt) Albert Henry Tiegs, 28th Battalion AIF. Very detailed. Covers training, landing at Gallipoli and wounding. Original typed copy made by the Australian War Memorial in the 1920s, covered period January to June 1915. Added to the collection in July 2015 is a copy of a more recently typed transcript, covering the period January 1915 to end of December 1916. Lt Tiegs was killed in action near Lagnicourt on 26 March 1917.
