Owen, Robert Haylock (Lieutenant Colonel, b.1862 - d.1927)
Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of Colonel (Col) Robert Haylock Owen, (CO 3rd Battalion AIF; and later Commander 1st and 3rd Brigades). Collection consists of a notebook containing operations reports, Gallipoli, April and later; two handwritten copies of letters to his wife in April and May; and what appears an incomplete handwritten and illustrated letter to his wife also written around April. It is written on Royal Mail Steam Packet (RMSP) Company letterhead. All the letters are quite detailed.
