Description
Collection related to the First World War service of Captain Leslie Morriss Newton MC, 12th Infantry Battalion. Collection consists of personal correspondence, receipts and other records including lists of names, spanning 1926-1927, relating to photographs of various officers of 12 Battalion, and the distribution of those photographs. Captain Newton was a key organiser and main unit contact for the photographs and payment for them after the officers had re-settled in various parts of Australia following their war service.
