Thornton, Vincent Harry (Private, b.1893 - d.1927)
Description
Collection relating to the First World War service of 569 Lieutenant Vincent Harry Thornton, 13 Light Horse Regiment. Collection consists of part of letter written in April 1916 describing the evacuation of Gallipoli. Thornton was later promoted to Lieutenant and transferred to No 4 Squadron Australian Flying Corp. He survived the war.
