Manuscript based on Lieutenant Steel's South African experiences - 1900-1901. Entitled 'In the Ranks of the Australians'. Includes photographs of Lieutenant Steel, an article by Lieutenant Steel and two discharge certificates. Story deals with advances on Pretoria and Lydenburg. Very detailed.
