Description
Collection relating to Lance Corporal John Milton Butler who served with 2/23rd Infantry Battalion in the Second World War. Consists of a typescript of a diary kept by Butler from 4 January 1941 to 19 September 1945, and describes his service in North Africa, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, New Guinea, his return to Australian and eventual demobilisation.
