Description
Collection relating to Sub Lieutenant Alexander M Aitchison, Beach Commandos, RAN, Second World War. Collection consists of two photographs of Aitchison; one photograph of the Tarakan landing; two aerial photographs of Tarakan; Aitchison's Army Driver's licence; concert programme "The Wanganella Wanderers present Sinbad the Sailor"; and a map of the southern island of Japan, inscribed "Presented to Lt Aitchison by members of the beach party (Navy) prior to leaving Balikpapan on the hospital ship Wanganella", and signed by members of the beach party [oversized item].
