Description

Collection relating to the service of 1067 Private Harry Richards, 4 Battalion, AIF, Egypt, Gallipoli, 1914-1915. Collection consists of a diary kept by Private Richards from 19 October 1914 to 3 April 1915 (written chiefly in Pitman shorthand); four calling cards, a cigarette card; a newspaper clipping from The Sydney Morning Herald (30 November 1915); two Egyptian postage stamps; a Cairo tramways ticket; two small photographs presumably of Richards's wife Ethel Richards [nee Hamilton] and of his baby son Harry Kenneth Richards.
