Giyu, Sanura (Japanese Merchant Seaman/Cook)
Description
Log book of regulations for Japanese merchant seamen, issued to Giyu Sanura in 1928. Contains postcard, vaccination certificates and certificate of instruction in Western cooking. This book was presumably carried by Giyu during the Second World War and was found by an Australian soldier who wrote his name and number in it: Pte Leeds, VX133677, 2/28 Battalion.
