Partridge, Norman Maitland (Sergeant, b.1907 - d.1956)
Collection relating to the Second World War service of QX215 Sergeant Norman Maitland Partridge, 2/11 Field Ambulance. Collection consists of one handwritten letter, a telegram, a postcard, Christmas cards and several souvenired items on which Partridge wrote a few words of greetings to his daughter Marge and son Jim. These items include Order of the Day cards dated 4 May 1940; a South African Flora card; as well as a blank cheques from a cheque book belonging to an Italian soldier who had died. Also included are a supplementary registration card, notice to attend enlistment, identity cards, a record of service book, and Demobilization Procedure Book. The remaining items are a clothing ration card issued to Florence Partridge, two letters written to Mrs Partridge following her husband's death in 1956 and a black and white photograph of his grave at Lutwyche cemetery in Brisbane.
