Description
Two original one page letters and one envelope from NX72134 Signalman Cyril Bowen Davis to his family at home (no dates) whilst a prisoner of war of the Japanese; original black and white photograph taken 6 December 1945 of Davis after he returned to Australia, with his young son John Bowen Davis on the first occasion he had seen his son; two official telegrams to Davis' family advising that he is no longer a prisoner of war and will shortly arrive in Sydney; a Book of Common Prayer and the New Testament belonging to Davis with some annotated notes inside.
