Grady, Albert (Driver, 2/21st Bn AIF)
Description
Collection relating to the Second World War service of VX36354 Driver Albert Grady, 2/21 Battalion. Collection consists of a photocopy of a diary maintained from enlistment in June 1940, attachment to 2/21 Bn, transport to Darwin, posting to Ambon, a brief account of the fighting and eventual escape from Ambon via Ceram to Thursday Island. Also in the collection is a digital file and hardcopy of a typed transcription of the diary, including footnotes, compiled by Marilla Rootsey in 2015.
