Thomson, Peter Angus (Pilot Officer)
Description
Papers of Pilot Officer Peter Angus Thomson who served with the 622 Squadron RAF before his capture by the Germans in 1944. Items in the collection include lists, nominal rolls, a court of enquiry report written at Stalag IIIA Luckenwalde, Brandenburg Germany and a report on the forced march from Bankau to Goldberg. Pilot Officer Thomson also kept a diary describing his interrogation by the Gestapo and his transfer to Stalag Luft VII camp, Moritzfelde bei Wehlam, Russia, where he eventually became camp leader. Other items in the collection include service documents and an appeal to the Department of Veteran Affairs Concentration Camp Committee.
