Description
Copy of typed manuscript titled 'On wings like eagles' written by 403186 Warrant Officer (WO) Jack Douglas Garland, documenting his enlistment with the Royal Australian Air Force, training in Canada and posting to the 97 Squadron RAF. Garland writes about his missions over Germany and capture by the Germans and time as a prisoner of war. Black and white photocopies of letters and other papers relating to Jack D Garland are located in Private Records Collection PR86/111.
